I’m tired of hearing about McCain’s VP Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter, Bristol. Who cares? It sounds like a episode of Tyra…But not sexy. Why does squirting out a child warrant redirecting attention from the fact that Mama Palin Sr. was only selected because she has a vagina? This is yet another example of how idiotic topics that are scandalous rip through the politically conscious’ conversations. Damn you media palin drones. Tell me something new.
That desire will probably go unfulfilled during the 39th Republican National Convention.
I’m sure we’ll get to officially meet Sarah Plain and Tall, hear words attempting to align the imagery with the blue-collared who need to double their personal exemptions for dependents and BDU-wearing folks, and then listen to old farts stir up patriotic fervor by ranting about how dangerous the world is to justify pork-barrel spending and re instill a spirit of isolationism. Yawn. Leiberman’s going to be there…meh. Why am I compelled to watch? Guess it’s similar to how I can’t help looking at that blob in the road that used to be a squirrel before it was run over 78 times.

i guaran-fucking-tee that isolationism will never be a part of the republican party’s platform. we’ll be policing the world a lot more if mccain is elected and certainly a lot more when obama is elected.

Most of us wouldn’t concern ourselves with Bristol Palin’s pregnancy under normal circumstances. However, the fact that her mother supports abstinence-only sex education and is hostile to birth control changes things. If Sarah Palin can’t even keep her own seventeen year old daughter from getting pregnant, how can we trust her to enact policies to lower teenaged pregnancy rates?

Exactly. We can’t. Abstinence-only sex education persecutes teens drunk on their own hormones and adds a forbidden allure to what is the most basic reason for existing on this planet -sex. With the exception of keeping someone in a cage for the duration of their life while under constant armed supervision, a government official cannot ever hope to control the actions of another person. That person has to consciously say, “Hey, I’m not going to have sex with this person.” They can, however, engorge themselves on self righteousness and tax dollars.
